I've had this for just 1/2 day. I think some other review said that it does not sit flat on a surface. They are right. It seems to rock about 0.015" on it's four feet when I checked it on a granite surface plate. Why not use 3 feet instead?It's smooth and rounded so it will be easy to slip into a pocket or your bags. There are no protrusions that are likely to snag anything. it is made in China of course. The cover was initially very hard to get off but after a couple of closings and openings it loosened up and is fine now. I also ordered a set of 4 American Weigh calibration weights (...). Fresh out of the box the scale read: 500.6 for the 500 gram calibration weight 200.2 ------> 200 100.1 ------> 100 50.0 --------> 50 This is accurate enough for my uses, and might be all you can expect for a scale and calibration weights of this class. Great value. Barely bigger than an iPhone! Takes AAAs so you can use your rechargeable Sanyo Eneloops - some of the other pocket scales require small expensive watch batteries. I carry it with me when shopping for backpacking gear to weigh things at stores. Awesome!

About the size of a smart phone. Looks clean cut and sturdy. Display is also very smooth. Checked it with a 100g, 50g, 20g, 10g, 5g, 1g, and 500mg mass. The display read exactly right except for the 20g mass which read 20.1g but it could be that the iron mass was off. Didn't work so well when trying to measure anything below 500mg... scale did not even register 0.1g. So make sure you measure more than 500mg and you should be fine. › See all 18 customer reviews...
