For only five dollars I didn't expect much. But when I received the scale, it turned on and read 0.0. And has read 0.0 no matter what I weigh. Not one reading and no troubleshooting on this issue. I would not recommend this particular product. AMAZON IS GREAT.

Received and tested today. Out of the box, it read about 1.5g light, and readings were inconsistent jumping all over the 'scale'. So, following its enclosed instructions we used a 500g weight to Re-Calibrate. This made no difference in the end result. Hope the return goes smoothly...

8/23/12 Update: The seller, Store Wholesalers, was willing to accept the defective scale for replacement. However, no refund was offered, and he asked for a $2.00 handling fee as well.

I paid $6.00 for the scale (with free shipping) and it would cost about $4.00 more in postage and fees to return it for a questionable replacement. Very disappointed.

The two other scales we purchased directly from Amazon worked perfectly, and there would have been NO hassle if a return was necessary. Lesson learned.
