I bought these two scales simultaneously on Amazon. American Weigh Scale - AC-650 Digital Scale 650g x 0.1g Black They are by the same company, and obviously differ in weight max at 1000g or 650g. I will tell you more about them here to help you.

I checked them both with a 50 gram weight, seen here, and they are each precisely at 50 grams, ideally calibrated straight out of the box.50-Gram Chrome Scale Calibration Weight Accuracy is spot on for each. Each has a Tare feature to allow one to deduct the weight of a container (too hard to explain, google if you need more info). Both made in China.

They are precisely the same in that they are made by the same company, American Weigh. They both have a full 10 year warranty, and the same card is in each box indicating a 10 year warranty. They both have an AMS logo on them. They both shut off after one minute without use to save batteries, and they both require two AA batteries (included, but cheap no name batteries in... Read more

I would say this scale works just great, it reminds me of the scales I used when I was much younger, but now I get to pay only 10 bucks, rather then 100.
