1.0 out of 5 stars Work great for 9 whole days... then broke., July 18, 2011

I bought this scale 9 day ago... I am a daily weigher and it seemed to be working great. But today it stopped working. Every time I step on the scale, it shows "0.0" and then "o o o o o" for about 5 - 10 seconds then shuts off. I have tried replacing the battery and resetting the scale, but nothing has worked! I emailed customer service today and hopefully I can get a replacement!

2.0 out of 5 stars Battery Replacement Aweful, June 13, 2011
The numbers aren't very consistent. I often weigh myself multiple times and go with the most frequently occurring number.

After replacing the 9-volt battery, the scale wouldn't turn on. I tried new Duracell and a Kroger brand batteries. I eventually discovered that the stock battery (Tianqiu brand) was shaped slightly differently from the new batteries. The minus contacts were not quite touching. Luckily, I just had to bend out the connector on the scale so that it touched the battery. Now it works again.

1.0 out of 5 stars You're lucky if it works., May 24, 2012
This review is from: Taylor Scales 9856-4012 LED Scale, Weighs To 330 Pounds (Health and Beauty)
This scale falls midway between useless and infuriating--you're more likely to get an error message than you are to get your weight. What earns it my 'Most Annoying Device' (MAD) award is that taking the battery out doesn't resolve the problem. When it fails, you have to weight (I mean wait) about twenty minutes for it to reset, at which point you can reinitiate hoping against hope that it will successfully tell you how fat you are. Two thumbs way down.
